As some of the other reviewers mentioned, this WAS a great place to visit. Now, however, I am less than thrilled. The big developers have finally taken hold. They are ruining the experience of walking or fishing along the waterway. They are building condos that start at $500, 000 CAD. There are virtually NO businesses open in the town. Someone else referred to the area as 'up & coming. ' It once WAS thriving, but all the small businesses and restaurants have been driven out. It was great for fishing from shore, and bringing kids to the carousel and families to the beach. I wonder if any of that will remain? Sad to see so much natural beauty being taken away, always for money. The locals won't be able to enjoy their own town. I see a sad future here. …
